Julia Loves Chris: Meet the Marcums

Chris loves Julia, the blog, unofficially (officially?) started back in 2009 as a platform for my wife (Julia) to write and share photos and stories with family members and close friends. In April 2011, when we bought our first home, a fixer, the real fun/work/blog began. We started filling our evenings working on our house and now Jules blogs at least 3 days a week about the happs around here--home decor, design, diy with an occasional foodie post from me thrown in. Each time I posted about food, we were a little blown away by the requests for more food posts. Since I love cooking, and sharing things I've learned, we decided to add another blog, appropriately named Julia Loves Chris.

Chris and Julia, the couple, became official back in 2008 (you can read about that here) and we welcomed our daughter, Greta-the-great in 2010. She makes occassional appearances on the blog, but mostly loves to draw, dance and dodge her naps. I earned a minor degree in culinary arts, but make a living as a marketing director for an online addiction recovery service. Jules is a color and design enthusiast who studied art in college and when she's not painting a wall (or blogging about it) she's working away in her studio with Greta by her side and sometimes on her lap, keeping our Etsy shop stocked (kinda) and sending commissions out weekly.

So, welcome; to our virtual home, which is consequently all about our actual home and our lives in it. We can be chatty, but we hope--really, really hope--you'll chat right back.
